A feature-length documentary portrait of artists, writers, and collectors who remain steadfastly loyal to the typewriter as a tool and muse.

The cinematically lush documentary features notable typewriter enthusiasts Tom Hanks, Sam Shepard, David McCullough, Mason Williams, John Mayer, and yours truly, among many other typewriter enthusiasts.  It premiered at Telluride Film Festival in 2016.

Doug Nichol, veteran filmmaker known for his work in scores of award-winning music videos and commercials, spent almost 6 years making this film. He describes it as a passion project- there was no budget, no deadline. He directed, filmed, edited, and wrote the entire film almost entirely by himself.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have been a part of this beautiful, engaging film about creativity, passion, and technology.

The film still has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes!
